Alcacer's express hat-trick saves Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund remain top of the Bundesliga and they have Paco Alcacer to thank for their latest three points, as the former Valencia and Barcelona man scored a hat-trick in the final half hour to secure a 4-3 victory.

The Spaniard didn’t start and was only brought on in the 59th minute, when Augsburg led by a first-half Alfred Finnbogason goal, yet he netted one three minutes after coming on.

Philipp Max made it 2-1 to the visitors shortly afterwards, before Alcacer equalised again and before Mario Gotze gave Lucien Favre’s side a 3-2 lead in the 84th minute.
The drama was far from over and Michael Gregoritsch made it 3-3 with a goal that seemed like it would earn a point for Augsburg, but then Alcacer rounded off his hat-trick and sealed the victory with a winner in the 96th minute, as he blasted a freekick into the net.
