Nathan Ake has insisted he is focused on life at Bournemouth despite speculation Manchester United are readying an approach for the defender.
The Dutch international has starred on the south coast since making his move from Chelsea a permanent deal in a £20million switch.
Ake, 23, worked with current United boss Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge with some reports suggesting the Portuguese is keen to link back up with the centre-half.
Mourinho was desperate for a central defender over the summer but missed out on targets including Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire and Jerome Boateng.
But Ake has moved to cool speculation anything is imminent.
He told Dutch outlet Football Oranje: “I’ve seen it pass by but of course it’s rumours. ‘At the moment I play at Bournemouth and that is going well, so I focus on that.
“This does not say much about my status yet. They are rumours on the internet and as long as I do not hear anything myself, I will not go into that.”
