Juventus have announced the signing of Merih Demiral from Sassuolo for a transfer fee of €18m, until 2024.
The 21-year-old was widely touted to join the Bianconeri this summer and the club have now confirmed his arrival via a statement on the clubs official site:
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has finalized the agreement with the company U.S. Sassuolo Calcio S.r.l. for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Merih Demiral against a consideration of € 18 million payable in four financial years.”
“Juventus signed a five-year performance contract with the same player until June 30, 2024.”
It’s not yet confirmed if Demiral will remain at Sassuolo but reports in Italy have suggested that he will come to Turin for the upcoming season to play alongside Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci.
