The Eintracht Frankfurt striker has been tracked by several of Europe’s elite clubs, but it is Los Blancos who have secured him for next season.
Real Madrid have secured the signing of Luka Jovic, the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, for 60 million euros. Of that amount, 48 million will be for Eintracht and 12 for Benfica, who had stipulated that 20% of any future transfer would come to them. The Serbian striker will sign for the next six seasons.
Jovic will be with Madrid for 2018/19
Los Blancos have wanted to accelerate the negotiations for Jovic after interest was raised by several other European clubs (PSG being the most recent to join in the bidding). For weeks the operation has been very advanced, as already reported by AS, and in the last few days the details have been finalised.
The 21-year old becomes the second signing of the new project, following that of defender Militao from Porto. There is, of course, plenty more transfer activity expected to come, as Real Madrid look to reinvigorate the squad to match any other team on the planet.
